In this game, you will have to conquer eight gyms (which are different from Kanto gyms) and then the Elite Four to become the Pokemon Champion. Once you win the game, you can also head to the Kanto region to conquer the gyms over there. One of the main differences between this game and its predecessors is that you get to meet and capture Dark-type and Steel-type Pokemon too.
