| Noorda, RAY
|| Former chairman, president and CEO of Novell, Inc. While at Novell, Noorda's vision included creating a network operating system (NOS) that was not dependent on any one application, network interface card or operating system. By 1986, Novell's NOS was one of the best operating systems for networking PCs over a local-area network. Noorda also created Novell education and certification programs. From 1985-1995, the "Certified NetWare Engineer" designation was one of the most valuable certifications in the industry.
| Noyce, Bob
|| 1927(b.)-1990(d.) Co-founded Intel Corporation in 1968 with Gordon Moore and pioneered semiconductor development. In 1957 Noyce co-founded the Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation in Mountain View, CA. He was research director until early 1959 when he became vice president and general manager. He left in 1968 to found Intel. Noyce served as president of Intel until 1975 and chairman of the board from 1975 to 1979. Noyce held 16 patents for semiconductor devices, methods, and structures.
