The story proceeds as Goku stops Vegeta to open the capsule where Buu was kept because he is an amateur, but super-powerful to destroy everything in his way. Buu was released anyway and he started fighting and defeating Goku. Buu has a unique ability due to which his body heals immediately. Even if a bullet is fired in his stomach, it will heal so immediately that it is hard to guess where the bullet hit.

In a series of 12 chapters, the player needs to play as Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks and Goten to complete quests and defeat the super Buu and his Kid Buu. All the main controls are similar in this game as of the previous version, except regular ki blast for everyone, additional melee attacks and tricks. The appealing soundtracks, pixelated graphics and smooth controls are the main features of this game.
